Moxon’s Guide Service services the infamous Lake St. Clair which is often described as a ‘muskie factory’ and ranks at the top of the list for muskie lakes in the country.

The muskie season on Lake St. Clair opens the 2nd Saturday in June and runs through to December 15th. As many anglers know, muskies like to fatten up during the fall and this can be the best time to catch a true MONSTER.

Muskie can be a hard species to target. I always recommend booking at least 2 days to target these fish in the summer or fall. As with any kind of trophy fish I believe in 100% catch and release. We provide all proper handling and release tools.

About Your Captain

My name is Kyle Moxon. I have been a fisherman since I was 5 years old. I have fished the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair extensively. I began entering tournaments when I was 8 years old, and have had good success in competitive fishing.

I have competed in many tournaments. Some of these include FLW Michigan chapter (local waters), Border Cities Classic Kayak Tournament (local waters), Musky Canada Belle River Chapter Muskie Opener (local Waters), The Blacktip Challenge (Shark fishing Florida ), and Hobie Worlds Fishing Tournament (The Netherlands). I have been lucky enough to place in the top three in many of these tournaments. This includes First place in The Blacktip Challenge, and Silver in the Hobie Worlds.

The time I spend on the water allows me to know the water. I also know where the fish are most likely to be. It is rare that I do not put fish in the boat.
