Sucker Creek Boat Launch

The best free, public boat launch on Lake Nipissing's West Arm

About Sucker Creek Boat Launch

The Sucker Creek boat launch on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing is well-known within the local fishing circles but perhaps less so to area newcomers. This free, public boat launch is among the better options for launching on Lake Nipissing’s West Arm.

It is well developed for its size and location. There is a good amount of parking that is nicely sheltered from the wind about 50 or so feet from the water.

There’s a raised pier with wooden walls and tie-offs for your boat and a ramp down the one side.

How to get there.

You can click the “get directions” button beneath the map or follow these few tips:

From highway 17 you’ll want to head South on highway 64, past the first bridge at Lakair Lodge. As you approach the second bridge, look to your right, across the water to the south shore and you’ll see the ramp. Take your next right onto Sucker Creek Road and you’ll soon see the parking area on your right.

Launching your boat here means you’re getting started pretty much at the start of the West Arm.
